Here, you’ll find all the information you need to navigate through our assessment process with ease. We’ve divided our FAQs into three main categories to help you find answers quickly.

Before taking the assessment

What if I want to go back to a previous question during the assessment?

Once you move on, you can't go back to a previous question.

So make sure you read each one carefully to avoid any mistakes or accidental clicks.

How long will it take me to finish the Heroify assessment?

Good question!

The time you'll need depends on the type of assessment you're taking. Quick pre-screenings are about 15 minutes, but the more in-depth ones can range from 15 to 75 minutes. So, make sure you've set aside enough time before you start.

How can I take the assessment to check my skills?

It's not possible.

We are not sharing our assessments with personal users. They are given to companies so they can see if the people they want to hire posses right skills.

What if I can't finish the assessment in time?

No worries!

If you run out of time in a test, whatever you've done gets saved and you'll just move on to the next part. If time's up during the last part, the assessment ends there and we'll send your results as they are to the company. So you're covered either way.

Can I take the assessment on my phone?

Of course!

Our assessments work both on phones and computers. But some questions have graphs or you need to use programs like Google Analytics 4. So, it's easier to do it on a laptop or desktop.

How should I prepare for the assessment?

No stress, it's simple.

All you need is a computer or phone and good internet. Some tests might need a bit of preparation, but we'll tell you all about it once you log in before you start the test.

What does the assessment consist of?

The structure of the assessment depends on the company you're applying to and their specific needs. Generally, there are two types of assessments:

Quick pre-screening:

Skills tested: Up to 3 different skills
Questions: 3 to 15 questions per skill
Time limit: 5 to 20 minutes per skill
Format: Single or multiple-choice questions

Detailed screening:

Skills tested: Up to 5 different skills
Questions: 3 to 15 questions per skill
Time limit: 5 to 20 minutes per skill
Format: Single or multiple-choice questions

Please note that once you proceed to the next question, you can't return to the previous ones.

During the assessment

I'm not getting the text with the code. What happended?

Ah, that's frustrating!

First off, make sure you're not on airplane mode and that you've got a decent cell signal. Also, double-check that you punched in the right phone number. If all that checks out and you're still not getting the text, try giving your phone a quick restart. That usually does the trick!

Why can't I access the assessment anymore?

If you can't get to the assessment, it's likely because the company you're applying for has closed it.

We can't reopen it without their permission, so your best bet is to get in touch with them to see what's going on.

Who should I talk to if I have questions or run into issues: Heroify or the company I'm applying for?

It depends.

If you're having tech problems with the assessment or you want to give feedback about the questions, reach out to us at Heroify support. For anything else like deadlines, specific details about the assessment, or where your application stands, you're better off contacting the company you're applying to. We don't have that info on our end.

My assessment takes a long time to load. What should I do?

If you're stuck with slow-loading or frozen questions, it's usually because of a shaky internet connection.

Before starting the assessment, maybe do a quick speed check on your internet. If you want to play it safe, use an Ethernet cable or stay close to your home Wi-Fi router. Public Wi-Fi? Not the best idea for this; it can work or not.

I lost my internet connection. What should I do?

Don't panic, it happens!

If you lose connection, don't worry. You can go back to the test when your internet is back. Just know that the clock keeps running, so try to get back fast.

After the assessment

Can I retake the assessment?

To maintain a fair policy among all candidates, each invitation link is a one-time deal and can't be reused. But if you're really worried about your score, you can reach out to the company that invited you to take the assessment. It's up to them whether they'll let you take another shot at it.

Can I see how I did on the assessment?

Absolutely!

You'll get the lowdown on how you performed. Not just your overall score, but you'll also see how you did in each skill area. So you'll know what you nailed and what you might need to work on.

Will I get to see the questions I got wrong?

We can't show you the specific questions you missed.

It's all about keeping the test fair for everyone. But don't worry, you'll still get feedback on your overall performance and areas where you did well.

What happens after I've completed the assessment?

Once you're done, you'll see your score and even have a chance to leave some feedback about the assessment.

We really appreciate hearing what you think so we can make things even better for the next person. Just so you know, we won't send an email to confirm you've completed it, but your results go straight to the company you're applying for.
